Airports
- Baggage Handling Systems
We employ over 900 skilled personnel with experience in baggage
system design, control systems development, operations, maintenance
and general airport-based baggage services. These unique skills and
experience ensure that Babcock is recognised as an industry sector
leader in the provision of through-life integrated solutions to
airport baggage handling and management requirements.
- Airside Solutions
Babcock works in partnership with customers to ensure that their
fleet of vehicles and specialist equipment is available 24 hours a
day, every day.
Through a comprehensive fleet management contract with British
Airways, we manage and maintain over 2,760 assets - ranging from
passenger buses and scissor lifts, to 70-tonne aircraft pushback
tractors - ensuring they are available when and where they are
needed.
Communications
- Managed infrastructure
In addition to utilising a network of partner transmission sites,
Babcock designs, builds and operates both our own and our
customers' broadcast infrastructure. We are constantly upgrading
these facilities to increase performance and reduce environmental
impact.
- Global network
Babcock boasts the industry's only fully-managed global broadcast
transmission network, giving broadcasters a ready-made route to
their audiences and offering unique levels of flexibility and
reliability.
- Telecommunications
Babcock offers mobile and fixed telecommunications. Our end-to-end
life cycle service ranges from site acquisition and design to
implementation and mast support.
- Digital media
We provide a single source solution to media management,
distribution and delivery using radio, the internet and mobile
services.
Power
For over 80 years Babcock has provided an end-to-end
service, focused on high-voltage overhead lines and steel lattice
towers for electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure
throughout the UK. Babcock has grown to become one of the
leaders in this field.
