An apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity to gain additional qualifications while you are
gaining work experience and earning a wage. Working in the
automotive industry requires enthusiasm to learn and a passion for
cars no matter what department you are working in. Although
previous experience isn't always required it can be a benefit even
helping out with cars belonging to your family.

With Babcock your automotive apprenticeship will involve working in
a garage gaining experience and building a portfolio of evidence of
the tasks you have carried out as well as either in house training
or attending college or one of our Training Academies. You
will need to have the determination to learn new tasks as well as
working your way through the training requirements. If you

approximately 40 minutes to complete).
Babcock work with a number of well known and respected
manufacturers as well as independent garages giving our apprentices
a wide choice of employment opportunities throughout the UK.
Our Vocational Learning Advisors all have many years of industry
experience and are dedicated to ensure you gain the most from your
apprenticeship.

There are a number of different areas you can gain your
qualifications from a more customer and retail focus working in the
Parts department, the Body Shop where an eye for detail is vital
for paint refinishing and vehicle body repair or in the workshop as
a Service Technician where you will learn how service and repair
all different types of faults.
By completing our on line application form you will be registering
your interest and your details will be matched against any
opportunities that arise in your local area and you may be
contacted for a telephone interview as the first part of the
process towards your chosen career.
Completion of the application form does not guarantee an
apprenticeship and you will only be contacted if a suitable
employment opportunity is matched to your details and chosen career
path.

use diagnostic machines to fault find. As a Service
Technician you will learn how to do routine maintenance and
servicing to complete component overhauls. This is a 3 year Level 3
apprenticeship where you will be expected to attend college one day
per week for classroom based learning.
