Years 1 & 2
- Health & Safety
- Marking out & measuring, basic hand tools
- Bumper to bumper overview, service and inspection
- Body materials & construction
- Engine mechanical
- Cooling & lubrication, air & exhaust
- Ignition petrol fuel, CI fuels
- Braking systems, suspension, steering, wheels & tyres
- Charging & starter, electrical auxiliaries, lighting
- Clutches, manual/auto gearboxes, drivelines
Year 3
- Engine management systems
- OBD, advanced electronics
- Advanced braking & suspension, EPS, ABS, SRS, ESP
Qualifications
On completion of the two year Apprenticeship Programme you will receive the following qualifications:-
- NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Technical Certificate Level 2
- Key Skills Level 1 in Communication, Application of Number and IT
On completion of the Advanced Apprenticeship you will receive the following qualifications:-
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Technical Certificate Level 3
- Key Skills Level 2 in Communication and Application of Number
